Baobab Oil is derived from the ancient African tree, the Baobab, known to indigenous people as the “tree of life” for its many life-giving properties. Rich in vitamins and minerals, Baobab oil soothes and relieves tired bodies, and gently protects against dry skin.

African Shea butter is world renowned as deeply moisturizing, nourishing and safe. It is indigenous to West Africa, and has been used for centuries, prized for its soothing and anti-aging properties.

Shea comes from a tree in West Africa called the Karite tree,that can live for up to 300 years and only bears fruit after 50 years! The nut, from which the oil is derived, is only produced once a year.

 Shea is called “women’s gold” because traditionally, men are forbidden to lay a hand on the tree, and women are the only ones allowed to cultivate the nut. They pick the nut only once it’s fallen to the ground. 40,000 to 60,000 tons of Shea is exported every year, which keeps whole African communities fed, clothed and educated.
